Since tests are pre-paid, providers are paid quickly, and prices are lower than usual and customary. Anyone can use the program.

3. Is MedTestForLess a "discount medical plan" (DMPO)?

MedTestForLess is not a "discount medical plan". There are no monthly or annual fees, no enrollment or enrollment fees nor access fees. Anyone can use the program and users aren’t given a large book of providers nor do they have to go online in an attempt to access networks, hunt down providers and have to demand discounts at the point of service. That’s not the way it works. Instead, customer service reps take care of matching you with the nearest provider to you; and, because you pre-pay all tests, you don’t have to negotiate with anyone on your own. You cannot walk into any provider office and demand any “discount” because it is not a discount program. You simply receive lower fees than what you’d normally have to pay if you didn’t “pre-pay”.

4. What does it cost?

MedTestForLess has no monthly or annual fees. It has no access fees. Anyone can use the program. Just remember to mention “MedTestForLess” to the customer service representative when you call for diagnostic imaging or x-ray tests, or account code "MTFL" for lab (blood or urine) tests, to receive your pre-arranged pricing.

 

5. Will there be facilities in my area?

Chances are, you'll enjoy greater access to more facilities than with a traditional PPO network. Rather than limit itself to one major provider, the program has several national lab chains and diagnostic and X-ray chains participating in its program. Again, you cannot walk into a provider’s office and demand any “discounts” because the program doesn’t work that way. There is no listing of providers for you to access. All of that is done for you by the customer service representatives.

6. Can I use MedTestForLess with my current health plan's benefits?

Yes, the program will actually EXPAND your provider sites. MedTestForLess allows access to several national labs. As a result, the number of facilities available is much larger. In addition, if your health plan's medical testing benefits have a large co-pay, deductible and coinsurance (money out of your pocket), this program might save you valuable dollars. It costs nothing to phone in and compare prices to whatever your health plan offers.

7. What if I haven't met my deductible, will MedTestForLess be of any value to me?

Absolutely! Anything UP TO your deductible comes out of your pocket. Therefore you save money because you pre-pay and get lower fees. It's your money, why not spend far less of it?

 

8. Are there any waiting periods, pre-existing condition limits or other "insurance related" limits to this program?

No, MedTestForLess is not insurance and has no such limits.
 

9. Are there any age limits or restrictions?

No, age limits! Anyone, from children to seniors, can use the benefits as often as they wish and receive lower prices than the usual and customary costs. For children, tests must be ordered by their legal guardian.
